BASF has named Uwe Liebelt president/paper chemicals division, effective April 1. Liebelt, currently senior v.p./dispersions and pigments, North America, will replace Ehrenfried Baumgartner, who is retiring. He will relocate from Charlotte, NC to Basel, Switzerland. Glenn Wright, commercial v.p./North America plastics at Dow Chemical, has been named chairman/plastics division operating committee at ACC. Wright will serve as chairman through the end of this year.
