LyondellBasell has appointed Bob Patel as senior v.p./olefins and polyolefins, Europe, Asia and International, effective immediately. He will also have responsibility for licensing and catalyst sales. Patel joined LyondellBasell in March 2010 as senior v.p., olefins and polyolefins/Americas. He succeeds Anton de Vries, who was president of Basell Polyolefins Europe prior to the December 2007 merger of Basell and Lyondell Chemical.
