Soveplast, a subsidiary of Arkema’s Alphacan pipes and profiles business, operates the site. Soveplast makes polyvinyl chloride profiles for the manufacture of window shutters and blinds, and garage doors. The Chantonnay site’s “manufacturing costs can no longer be passed on to sales prices in today’s highly competitive markets,” Arkema says.
