ACC's US CPRI increases in August

ACC’s US chemical production regional index (CPRI) rose by 0.4% in August, following a 0.3% gain in July, a 0.2% gain in June, and a 0.3% decline in May. The outputs of organic chemicals, inorganic chemicals, synthetic rubber, plastic resins, pesticides, industrial gases, coatings, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals rose, while the production of adhesives, fertilizers, manufactured fibers, and other specialties fell.
