Gains in crude oil and energy prices led North American feedstocks to soar. ethane gained 2 cts/gal, propane rose 9 cts/gal, while naphtha and butane jumped 17 cts/gal and 15 cts/gal, respectively. Spot ethylene tacked on 2 cts/lb, while propylene was unchanged. The propylene market is tight and not much spot is available, market players say. There was a mid-week bid of 41.5 cts/lb for polymer-grade material, but no deal was concluded by CW presstime, sources say. butadiene continued to surge amid tight market conditions, as spot material jump about 16 cts/lb and...
