West Texas Intermediate crude gained almost $2/bbl, to $43.92/bbl, while Brent gained nearly a dollar, to $44.32. Natural gas on the Henry Hub added 20 cts/million Btu from its seasonal low to $5.75/million Btu. In northwest Europe, spot naphtha rose $20/m.t. That support helped olefins markets settle long-standing strains between spot and contract markets.
