U.S. ethylene contracts have gained a penny in May in a two-month settlement that took April contracts higher by 2.5 cts/lb, market players say. Spot ethylene prices drifted down a penny last week as buying took a pause, sources say. Tight supply and robust demand drove up butadiene contracts in May, by 2 cts/lb, to an all-time high of 58 cts/lb del.
