Butane, however, gained about 2 cts/gal. Among U.S. olefins, spot ethylene lost about 1.5 cts/lb, while propylene was steady. Butadiene contracts for January reportedly settled at loss of 2 cts/lb, to 63 cts/lb, market players say. European naphtha lost a token $10/m.t. due to sharply higher olefins prices.
