Lower crude oil prices pushed North American feedstocks down, as ethane and propane both lost 1 ct/gal and naphtha was down 2 cts/gal. Butane, however, gained about 2 cts/gal. Among U.S. olefins, spot ethylene lost about 1.5 cts/lb, while propylene was steady. Butadiene contracts for January reportedly settled at loss of 2 cts/lb, to 63 cts/lb, market players say.
