A decline in natural gas prices has provided some relief to chemical makers. Spot numbers are now down almost half from their summer peak. Cracker feedstocks were lower in a range of 2 cts-6 cts/gal. Spot naphtha in Europe was down $70/m.t. Spot ethylene on the U.S. Gulf Coast ticked higher by a penny as demand continued to recover ahead of supply.
