Chemical Week Magazine :: CW Price Report COMMENTARY8:32 AM MDT | October 2, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff U.S.Gulf Coast steam cracker feedstocks have been tracking crude oil prices more closely this year than they have been historically, market sources say. Higher oil prices have meant higher feedstock prices, even though natural gas prices have not risen as sharply as oil. Cracker feeds are up 10 cts-20 cts/gal so far this month, with crude oil hovering above $80/bbl. European naphtha prices rose $25/m.t. Olefins prices are also rising.
