Chemical Week Magazine :: CW Price Report COMMENTARY1:53 PM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff European spot olefins prices rose last week on tightening supplies and robust derivative markets, especially polymers. Spot ethylene and polymer-grade propylene gained €20/m.t. Chemical grade propylene and butadiene rose €10/m.t. and $10/m.t., respectively. U.S. ethylene contracts have settled up by 2.5 cts/lb at some accounts, to 43.5 cts/lb del. Spot ethylene prices eased a tad last week, as buying took a pause, sources say.
