The increase was significantly below producers’ aspirations, due largely to unspectacular demand and softening spot prices, sources say. Spot ethylene numbers slipped around 0.25 cts/lb last week, to 33.5 cts/lb del. Propylene contracts rolled over in March, as the market stabilized.
