U.S. ethylene contracts started to settle last week in a two-month deal that included a rollover for February, and a 1.5-cts/lb increase for March contracts, to 41 cts/lb del, market players say. The increase was significantly below producers’ aspirations, due largely to unspectacular demand and softening spot prices, sources say.
