Feedstock costs continued to push olefins prices higher last week despite mild demand, sources say. Ethane surged in the U.S., jumping nearly 20 cts/gal higher, market sources say. Ethylene spot prices gained 5 cts/lb last week, trading in a tight range of 68.25 cts-68.5 cts/lb. June ethylene contracts have yet to settle, but one deal has been heard concluded at the full 5 cts/lb nominated by producers, market sources say. Spot propylene prices gained 3 cts/lb.
