Spot refinery-grade propylene rebounded as well, gaining almost 4 cts/lb, to 53.75 cts/lb. Market players say February polymer-grade propylene contracts are likely to settle at a decrease of 3 cts/gal. Earlier in the month, contracts settlements had been split with decreases of 2 cts/lb and 3.5 cts/lb reported. A decrease of 3 cts/lb is being considered the middle ground, sources say.
