Ethane and propane each gained about 1 ct/gal last week, while naphtha and butane were unchanged. U.S. spot olefins moved higher due to tight supply and strong demand. Ethylene gained 3 cts/lb, while butadiene and both grades of propylene each gained about 2 cts/gal, market sources say. Butadiene producers have nominated March contracts at an increase of 6 cts-8 cts/lb, while a propylene producer has nominated an increase of 5 cts/lb for March.
