URS Boosts its E&C Power with WGI Acquisition

E&C firm URS (San Francisco) says its purchase of Washington Group International (WGI; Boise, ID) last November strengthens its capabilities in power infrastructure, and environmental projects. The deal enables URS to better compete for large contracts, URS says. The acquisition was also among the largest deals done in the petchem E&C sector last year, with a price tag of $97.89/share, or a total of about $3.2 billion.
