Chemical Week Magazine :: Cover Story The Billion-Dollar Club: Downturn Puts Squeeze on Profits10:13 AM MDT | October 19, 2009 | Kerri Walsh BASF again secured the top spot in CW’s Billion-Dollar Club, an annual ranking of companies by chemical sales, for the third straight year. The company reported 2008 chemical revenues up 2%, to $58.3 billion. ExxonMobil Chemical has taken second place from Dow Chemical. ExxonMobil’s chemical revenues, including intersegement sales, rose 7%, to $58 billion. Dow finished in third place with sales up 7%, to $57.4 billion. Dow acquired Rohm and Haas (R&H) earlier this year, so those figures are not included in this year’s rankings.... This information is only available to Chemical Week subscribers.
