Sinopec and PetroChina are still the top companies, followed by Sinochem, China National Offshore Oil Corp., and China National Chemical Corp. The list is prepared for CW by SRI Consulting (Beijing). Sinopec’s chemicals business posted an 8% decline in 2007 operating profits, to Rmb13.3 billion ($1.9 billion), on sales up 12%, to Rmb240.7 billion. The fall in profits reflects...
