Polystyrene demand swings back on renewed growth in Asia

Prices have doubled in the last 10 years, opening the door to competition from alternatives such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Worldwide PS demand has declined even as production capacity has grown well beyond market requirements.
