Polypropylene: Automotive Trends, Versatility Boost Demand

The global polypropylene (PP) market will grow by 5%-6%/year in 2011-12, producers and analysts say. PP, invented more than 50 years ago, continues to find new uses and generate growth from existing ones, notably in the automotive sector, where automotive manufacturers have to comply with increasingly stringent environmental regulations, including the lowering of CO2 emissions.
