Plastics: Emerging Demand Growth

Plastics demand growth, at more than 5%/year, is expected to increase faster than global GDP through 2014, driven by the emerging economies, industry analysts say. “Robust demand for polyolefins has been led by China, Northeast Asia, and the Mideast, fueled by economic recovery,” says Sanjay Sharma, director/India at CMAI (Dubai).
