Plastic Additives Experience Strong Demand, But Costs Soar

Plastic additive producers say demand for their products is strong, helped by a rebound in the auto industry and packaging sectors. The plastic additives sector is growing in line with demand for plastics, which is expected to expand 5%/year through 2014. Strong additives demand has led to capacity expansion plans, and a series of selling price hikes across the sector.
