Imports have been declining for several years, and in 2007 the region is expected to have, for the first time, a net trade surplus in PP. The Mideast, including Turkey, had a trade deficit of 332,000 m.t. of PP in 2006, 26% less than in the year before, and this year the region is expected to have a 165,000-m.t. net surplus, Nexant Chem Systems (Houston) says.
