Lummus Purchase Builds Up CB&I’s Hydrocarbon Practice

Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I; the Woodlands, TX), an energy and petchem E&C firm, says its $950-million purchase of Lummus Global from ABB last November provided CB&I with “full-scale” capabilities in the global hydrocarbon sector. CB&I’s focuses include ethylene and olefins conversion, as well as petchem intermediates and polymers.
