Industrial Gases: Muted Market Trends

Industrial gases firms were slower than their customers to suffer the effects of the economic downturn and will likely be slower to benefit as the economy recovers this year, analysts say. Onsite nitrogen and oxygen, which are heavily reliant on the chemical and steel industries, will be particularly slow to rebound, says John Campbell, president of industrial gases consulting firm J.R.
