Chemical Week Magazine :: Cover Story Germany: Upswing Continues2:00 PM MST | January 7, 2011 The Bundesbank (Frankfurt), Germany’s central bank, forecasts GDP growth of 2% for Germany in 2011 and projects that the German economy grew 3.6% last year. “The recovery of the German economy took a major step forward in 2010,” the Bundesbank says. “Assuming a largely disruption-free expansion of the global economy, it may be expected that the upturn in the German economy will continue in the next two years. The pre-crisis level of GDP will thus be matched again towards the end of 2011, and overall production capacity will have returned to a normal level...
