Chemical industry executives saw considerable gains in overall compensation in 2011. The median increase for the 42 CEOs who held the same title in 2011 and 2010 was 7.7%. That is down from the 43% jump in 2010, which saw sharp gains fueled by a strong recovery in earnings and share prices coming out of recession.
