Europe: EU Advances Reach

The EU’s Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (Reach) program is set to continue to draw on the resources of the chemicals industry during 2011. The key focus for chemical companies will be on preparation of data on substances for dossiers that must be submitted to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA; Helsinki) in May 2013. The substances subject to the 2013 deadline are those produced or sold in the EU by companies in volumes of between 100 m.t and 1,000 m.t./year.
