Chlor-alkali: Demand to Grow Slightly

Demand in the North American chlor-alkali sector is forecast to slightly grow this year. Demand for caustic soda in North America is expected to grow about 2.3% this year, to about 13.1 million tons. Chlorine demand, meanwhile, is projected to grow 3.4%, to 11.9 million tons in 2012, according to CMAI (Houston).
