Canada: A More Fragile Recovery

The Canadian chemical industry will continue to recover in 2011, although growth will be “modest and fragile,” according to the Chemical Industry Association of Canada (CIAC; Ottawa). Canadian chemical companies expect sales to increase by only 2% in 2011, to $21.4 billion, compared with a 14% increase in 2010, according to CIAC’s year-end survey of member companies.
