Agriculture: Crop Pricing Not Enough to Lift Seeds

Stronger commodity and specialty crop pricing in 2010 will help crop protection markets “see some rebound” this year, although grower backlash from 2009 pricing initiatives will keep downward pressure on seeds, says Jim Loar, senior v.p./operations and agribusiness at Wilbur-Ellis (San Francisco), an international marketer and distributor of agricultural products.
