Rare Earth Prices Steady; Industry to Consolidate

Prices of rare earths, which skyrocketed in the first half of 2011 but fell sharply in the second half of that year, will remain steady in the near term, says a recent report by China Monitor, a third-party content provider to IHS. “After the dramatic price swings in 2011, we believe that rare earth prices are not likely to increase significantly in the short term,” the report says.
