Technip wins FEED contract for Shell CCS project in North Sea

Technip (Paris) says it has been awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract by Shell UK for a carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Scotland. The contract is for the onshore elements of the Peterhead CCS demonstration project, which is designed to capture, compress, and transport 1 million m.t./year of carbon dioxide to an offshore gas reservoir for long-term storage beneath the North Sea.
