Symrise sales up 2.6% in first quarter, Ebitda rises by 9.0%

Symrise (Holzminden, Germany) says it increased sales in the first quarter of 2014 of €470 million ($654 million) compared with €458 million in the year-ago quarter, or 2.6%. Adjusting for currency translation effects, sales increased by 7.9%, the company says. Ebitda rose in first-quarter 2014 by 9.0%, to €101 million, with Ebitda margin up to 21.5% compared with 20.3% a year ago. Net income for the period increased "significantly, by 13%," to about €52 million, compared with €46 million first-quarter 2013, Symrise says...
