Chemical Week Magazine :: Companies Schering Comes under the Bayer Umbrella1:13 PM MDT | July 18, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Schering has officially changed its name to Bayer Schering Pharma and become a division of Bayer HealthCare. Bayer acquired Schering last year for €16.9 billion ($22.3 billion) to become Germany’s biggest pharmaceuticals manufacturer. Bayer recently announced plans to squeeze out Schering’s remaining shareholders (CW, Dec. 13, 2006, p. 11).
