India’s Biocon Creates Mideast JV; Partners to Build Biotech Plant

Biocon Ltd. (Bangalore), one of India’s leading biotechnology firms, and pharmaceutical manufacturer Neopharma (Abu Dhabi) say they have entered into a joint venture agreement to manufacture and market a range of biopharmaceuticals in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The jv will provide Neopharma with an entry into the market for biotech drugs, and give Biocon access to markets in the Mideast.
