Chemical Week Magazine :: Companies Indian Firm Eyes Lenzing Stake10:33 AM MDT | July 25, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Grasim Industries (Nagda, India) is negotiating to buy a stake in fibers manufacturer Lenzing (Lenzing, Austria), according to recent Indian press reports. A deal will most likely be concluded by the end of March, reports say. Grasim and Lenzing declined to comment on the reports. Grasim says it is the biggest producer of rayon staple fiber, and has interests in cement, chemicals, and textiles. The company forms part of the Aditya Birla Group (Mumbai).
