Evonik expands L-threonine capacity for animal feed in Hungary

Evonik Industries has started up its expanded capacity for L-threonine at Evonik Agroferm, its 100% subsidiary at Kaba (Hungary). The official opening took place in the presence of Hungarian government officials. Production capacity has been increased to 30,000 m.t./y, Evonik says. Part of the expansion includes fermentation and processing capacity. Evonik says it is able to increase yield through state-of-the-art membrane filtration and crystallization technology.
