Celanese’s Unit to Play ‘Critical Role’ in Reaching Growth Targets

Celanese says it expects its consumer and industrial specialties unit to generate more than $100 million in additional Ebitda by 2009, one year ahead of schedule, Doug Madden, president/acetate, emulsions, and polyvinyl chloride (PVOH), told investors at a conference held last month in New York. The growth target is part of Celanese’s plans to boost additional operating Ebitda by $350 million-$400 million by 2010 from its 2006 baseline (CW, Dec. 19/26, 2007, p. 10).
