Bayer Corp. Restructuring Assists Recovery

Rebound, Transformation Restore Competitiveness

Actions taken by Bayer prior the downturn put the company on stronger footing during the recession and, more importantly, helped it better capture the benefit of the upturn. Bayer launched its “Competitive Transformation” effort in North America before recession hit in 2008, and the segment is rebounding more quickly than otherwise would have been possible, officials say.
