Williams proceeds with PDH facility, selects UOP technology

Williams has announced it will begin construction on a previously announced propane dehydrogenation (PDH) facility near Edmonton, AB. The PDH facility will be the first in Canada and will produce about 1.1 billion lbs/year of polymer-grade propylene with the opportunity to eventually double capacity, the company says. Capital costs are expected to be up to C$900 million ($881 million).
