Supreme Court upholds EPA regulation of greenhouse gases

The Supreme Court on 23 June upheld EPAâ€™s authority to regulate greenhouse gases (GHGs) from â€śsources that would need permits based on their emission of conventional pollutants.â€ť The court also finds that EPA cannot â€śtailorâ€ť the Clean Air Actâ€™s (CAA) unambiguous numerical thresholds to accommodate the agencyâ€™s interpretations of how to permit GHGs.
