Songwon JV to start Houston additives plant in mid-April

Songwon Industrial (Ulsan, South Korea) says that its one pack systems (OPS) plastic additives joint venture at Houston will start up operations in mid-April. The plant is a jv among Songwon Industrial, Pan Gulf Holding (Al Khubar, Saudi Arabia), and Polysys Industries (Abu Dhabi). The Houston facility will have an initial production capacity of 7,000 m.t./year. The Houston plant is part of Songwon’s global OPS strategy for the manufacture and sale of Songnox-brand OPS.
