Solutia Licenses 4-ADPA Technology

Solutia, Jiangsu Sinorgchem Technology (Sinorgchem; Shandong, China), and Korea Kumho Petrochemical (KKPC; Seoul) say they have reached a global settlement to resolve all disputes among them involving Solutia’s patents for processes to produce 4-aminodiphenylamine (4-ADPA), a chemical intermediate used to make rubber antidegradants. The agreement settles a patent infringement complaint dating back to 2008. Financial terms were not disclosed.
