Rockwood Invests in Iron Oxide Pigments

Rockwood Holdings says it will build an iron oxide pigments production facility at Augusta, GA employing “significant recent advancements” in synthesis technology. The $114-million facility is expected to start up in the first half of 2013 and will be the first new iron oxide pigment production plant to be built in the U.S. in nearly 35 years, the company says. The Augusta plant is expected to create 80-100 jobs.
