PPG’s Lake Charles chlor-alkali up, but at reduced rates after outage

NO MERCURY: The membrane-cell unit at PPG’s Lake Charles chlor-alkali complex was installed in 2007. PPG Industries shut down its Lake Charles, LA, chlor-alkali complex on 28 November after the failure of a major generator transformer interrupted power supply, the company says in a press release.
