Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: United States/Americas Nufarm Acquires Two Crop Protection Chemical Producers11:52 AM MDT | March 10, 2008 | Nancy Seewald Agchem company Nufarm (Melbourne) says it has acquired AH Marks Holdings (Wyke, U.K.) and has signed an agreement to acquire Etigra (Cary, NC), for a combined total of $236 million. Nufarm says the acquisition of the combined crop protection chemical firms will contribute a total of about $5 million to its net profits this year, and about $24.7 million in 2009. AH Marks is a “major producer” of phenoxy herbicides and supplies intermediates for the production of propionic and other grass herbicides, Nufarm says. It also makes polymerization inhibitors...
