Chemical Week Magazine :: Business & Finance :: United States/Americas Monsanto terminates glyphosate supply deal with Nufarm10:01 AM MDT | March 19, 2013 | —Rebecca Coons and Deepti Ramesh Monsanto has terminated a decade-long exclusive distribution agreement with Nufarm Agrochemical (Melbourne) for Roundup-brand glyphosate in Australia and New Zealand and appointed Sinochem as Roundup distributor in those regions. The termination is effective 28 August, Nufarm says. Nufarm says the agreement accounted for about A$100 million ($102 million) in sales in 2012. Monsanto attributes the decision to changes in the glyphosate market and “better alternatives to serve its customers in Australia and New Zealand.” Nufarm says increased competition...
