Monsanto Boosts Full-Year Outlook

Monsanto has raised its second-quarter and full-year outlook, citing accelerated penetration of biotech trait technologies for seeds, and strong demand for Roundup brand and other glyphosate-based herbicides. The company expects second-quarter earnings to be $1.75/share, beating First Call (Boston) analysts’ consensus estimates of $1.34/share. Grant: Growth from seeds-and-traits.
