Monsanto Advances Biologics, Planting Technology Platforms

Monsanto says it has formed a strategic alliance with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals to advance biologics with applications in agriculture. The alliance will combine Alnylam’s RNAi-based intellectual property and technologies with Monsanto’s BioDirect technology, which uses Monsanto’s genomics expertise to identify molecules found in nature that could be used for crop protection.
